My Substack, Write Your Life, offers personal narrative in various forms such as blog posts, open letters, and poems—right to your inbox. While much of my published work focuses on chronic illness, my Substack content is broader: an object or moment that gives me pause, stories of human connection that make me smile or reflect, observations on how we write and interweave the complex narratives of our lives.
As opposed to my published works, this original content is only available via Substack subscription. Subscribers are my beta readers. You have the opportunity to comment on and chat about each post—because shared writing is, at its core, an invitation to dialogue.

Write Your Life isn't just about my story—it's about yours, too. The goal of this Substack is to inspire and encourage you to start or continue a writing practice of your own. What if you don't have the bandwidth for a class, but still want to write in community? What if you want accountability, but you're not sure where to begin?
That's where Let's Do a Prompt! creative writing meetups come in. Once a month, I offer a one-hour remote group session for you to respond to a writing prompt. Each meetup focuses on a theme, craft element, or inspirational text with a related prompt. You get 15 minutes to write and then have the option to share aloud only if you would like to. If time allows, we do a brief process journal at the end of each session.
